Chennai Blue Vision Foundation, a Saudi-based charitable organisation, presented Chennai Blue Vision 2030 - a plan to revive the Cooum River - to the Tamil Nadu Water Resources Minister and the Deputy Speaker on 7 and 8 September.

The briefing covered environmental restoration, public-health improvement, mosquito control, recreation and tourism potential, and economic upliftment along the river corridor.
